Founded in 2007 LifelongFaith Associates is committed to helping congregations develop lifelong faith formation for all ages and generations, increasing the capacity of leaders and communities to nurture faith growth for all ages and generations. Our major projects and initiatives include:
- Lifelong Faith — a quarterly journal to advance the theory and practice of lifelong faith formation
- Faith Formation in Christian Practices Project — a major initiative to develop a Christian practices approach to faith formation including two publications: Living Well: Christian Practices for Everyday Life (for individuals and families) and the Living Well Children's Workbook, online learning activities and study guides, and workshop offerings
- Faith Formation 2020 — an ecumenical project to envision the future shape of faith formation including new resources and training to come in 2010
- Consulting — services to assist churches and organizations in developing lifelong faith formation
- Presentations and Workshops — a variety of topics in lifelong faith formation, family and intergenerational faith formation, and ministry with young and young adults that John Roberto can conduct for a sponsoring organization

Founder
John Roberto is the president and founder of LifelongFaith Associates, an organization dedicated to nurturing faith growth for all ages and generations in the parish and at home. John is editor of the journal Lifelong Faith, and works as a consultant to churches and national organizations, teaches courses and conducts workshops in faith formation, manages a web site: LifelongFaith.com, and develops resources in lifelong faith formation. His latest publications include Living Well: Christian Practices for Everyday Life (published by LifelongFaith Associates, 2009), Becoming a Church of Lifelong Learners (Twenty-Third Publications, 2006), and four volumes of intergenerational learning programs in the People of Faith series (Harcourt Religion Publishers, 2005-2007). John holds a masters degree in religious education from Fordham University.
John has almost 40 years of church ministry experience, including 30 years of experience in publishing — writing and/or editing over 30 books and dozens of articles. He was the founder and director of the Center for Ministry Development, where he worked from 1978 to 2006 developing and delivering training programs and consulting services, and creating resource materials for youth ministry, family ministry, and intergenerational faith formation. While he was at the Center he created the theory and practice for Generations of Faith — an intergenerational, lifelong approach to faith formation, and administered the a five-year Lilly Endowment funded project to develop lifelong, intergenerational faith formation in Catholic parishes across the U.S.
